Jacquetta and Elliot, who travelled all the way from California, held their intimate and romantic destination wedding at the Venetian classic; the Hotel Cipriani (fave hangout of Clooney no less) followed by the sumptuous Hotel Metropole for the reception and evening meal.The whole day was planned with the help of super talented and lovely Eva from Chic weddings, and the theme of glamour and rich, deep colours suited the venues perfectly.

Jacquetta and Elliot got ready at Hotel Cipriani with their ceremony being held on the lawns overlooking the vast canals. Jacquetta chose a beautiful burgundy Vera Wang wedding dress and feathered Manolo Blahniks which were the perfect compliment to the whole setting and styling…she looked amazing! A friend of the couple conducted the ceremony and both Jacquetta and Elliot exchanged their own, heartfelt wedding vows. A champagne reception followed where guests donned Venetian masquerade masks, before everyone was transported by boat to the Hotel Metropole. Jacquetta and Elliot took some time out to visit the stunning Saint Mark Square and Cafe Florian. They even managed to dance in the middle of the square to passerby’s smiles and congratulations.

The wedding meal was exquisitely styled again by Eva, with beautiful flowers by Tea Rose Events. A delicious 10 course meal and speeches followed, before dancing and more drinks. The wedding party then finished the evening late with a visit to the famous casino of Venice…what a day! We were accompanied by the very lovely Lindsay Madden who was the photographer, from New York. She was a delight to work alongside as were Eva and Sara from Chic weddings.
