You’ve got to love a London wedding….and we love everything about this one! Kate and Jonathan are one happy, loving, warm, perfectly matched couple…with great taste in music (thank you!) They had planned a gorgeous city wedding for themselves and their Northern families, who all made the trek down South to spend the day with them. It was full of pretty details, pastel colours, beautiful flowers, fun, humour, kindness and most of all massive amounts of love.
Kate got ready at Malmaison (just next door to where they filmed Poirot…I’m a massive Poirot fan so this started the day off very nicely indeed). She had chose the lovely Eliza Clare (assisted by the equally lovely Hannah) for their wedding photography, and she was a great choice and fantastic to work alongside. Kate’s dress was vintage polkadot (hiding a corset literally to die for as it could be laced so tightly!) with pretty shoes and soft tulips for her bouquet. She looked amazing.
We then travelled to Islington town Hall for the heartfelt wedding ceremony, where the sun came out and spirits soared. Route-masters then took us via Alexandra Palace (home to the worlds first public TV broadcast service courtesy of the BBC…and the reason why this couple chose to stop there, seeing as they both have broadcast careers and Jonathan at least, is a proper TV broadcast geek!). We then travelled on to The Prince Albert pub in Camden for a wonderful reception, delicious food and emotional speeches.
This really was a wonderful wedding, mostly because Kate and Jonathan have a wonderful circle of family and friends, reflecting the lovely nature of this pair. Beccy and I loved every minute of your day and are once again so honoured to be part of and meet such great couples. Thank you for having us! X
