Well, this was a good one…venue, guests, dress, flowers, food…all perfect, but most of all Mel and Jan are one of the loveliest couples we’ve met, and in fact I would like to say have now become friends (and we’ve enjoyed wine and good food together since they’ve come back from their honeymoon!). Mel and Jan chose to get married in France, at the gorgeous Chateau Rigaud, near Bordeaux, where they were joined by their friends and family who had travelled over from Australia and the UK. Chateau Riguad is a wonderful venue, full of character, laid back and friendly staff, welcoming host, amazing food and surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards…good choice Mel and jan!
They had an outdoor ceremony on the lawn complete with ring bearing dog and the sunshine. Mel looked stunning in her lace and layered dress by Stewart Parvin, which floated and trailed through the long grass so prettily. French photographer, a regular at the Chateau, Yves Samuel, was photographer on the day and a pleasure to work with. The staff at the Chateau made the barns for the reception look so pretty with the delicate flowers, abundance of candles and the beautiful evening light that streamed in through the windows during Speeches.
A local band and resident DJ took the party into the night and I hear that it was the very small hours of the next day that everyone finally went to bed…sign of a great wedding :) Thank you so, so much Mel and Jan, it was an absolute pleasure to film your wedding and am so, so glad you booked us, as it means we got to meet you both and now have two new, lovely, charming friends…what more could we ask for? X
