Scotland!! We love a Scottish wedding, so we were so excited when Shona emailed us to see if we were free to film her wedding at Crossbasket Castle….of course we were!
The whole day was wonderful, both families so friendly and welcoming, and you can see just how important they all are to each other. Family was a big theme on the day and it made it very special. From the venue to the weather (the day previous was thick fog and rain!) it all came together to make a gorgeous day.
Shona chose the brilliant Jesus Peiro for her dress, one of my favourite designers, paired with Manolo Blahs shoes. The bridesmaids wore Maids to Measure dresses in a beautiful dusty pink colour. Flowers on the day were by Mood Flowers, who did a wonderful job. Make up was by Complection Perfection (not that they needed much….)
Jonny wore a kilt teamed with waist coat and jacket by Andrew Brookes tailor. His whole team of ushers wore kilts too…they looked pretty sharp!
After the heartfelt ceremony the pair left the church in a family sports car, complete with tin cans trailing behind, and led the guests back to Crossbasket Castle. The sun shone and we able to enjoy drinks on the terrace before heading into the reception inside.
The beautiful cake was made by Heathers Cakes and the entertainment in the evening included a traditional Ceilidh (our fave!!) and live music by Callanish. We left them in full swing and they no doubt partied the night away.
Www were fined by Euan Roberston who was the photographer on the day. He was an absolute delight to work with, hope we see you again somewhere Euan!
Thank you so much Shona and Jonny for having us with you; you made us feel so welcome and part of the day, it was a total pleasure to meet you all and share the day with you. Lots of luck and love for your future together xx
